A "Jjimjilbang" is a Korean gender-separated public bathhouse, furnished with hot tubs, showers, saunas, and steam rooms. "Jjimjil" is derived from the Korean word for "heating." While the bathing areas are separated by gender, these facilities usually have co-ed areas as well with areas for lounging or sleeping, and light beverages are often available for purchase. Jjimjilbangs may have various rooms with different temperatures to suit guests' relaxation preferences. The walls are decorated with different woods, minerals, crystals, stones, and metals. The elements present in our saunas have been carefully selected and represent ancient Korean medicinal purposes, creating a sanctuary of healing and well-being for our guests. Island Spa & Sauna aims to bring traditional Korean sauna & bathhouse culture to you, and introduce a world of relaxation and self-care.

Admission will grant you access to our Korean bathhouse, steam & dry saunas, ice room, lounge areas, and other general amenities of the facility. Admission will also include a complimentary towel, uniform, and lockers for unlimited use during your stay. There is no time limit, so please feel free to stay as long as you'd like! Admission covers usage of all amenities but does NOT cover food, drink, and services.

You don’t need an appointment to visit the spa, as we take walk-ins every day! You will only need to book an appointment for services: you may visit our website and use the "Bookings" tab. You can also give us a call at (732)-253-7379 and one our our agents may assist you in booking services. All guests who book a service will be required to purchase a general admission pass and present a physical government/state-issued photo ID to enter the facility.

No, the bathhouses are fully nude and gender separated spaces. They are connected to their respective locker rooms and are not a co-ed space inside the facility. You may use a provided towel to enter into the bathhouse, but there are no textiles allowed inside any of our tubs.

General admission is not included in the price of service (all guests are required to purchase a general admission pass if they plan to schedule a service). General admission will give you unlimited access to our bathhouses, saunas, lounge areas, etc.
